The Fancy Panty Sewing Workshop

Intermediate Sewing 5 

This course will teach you how to sew panties using our custom patterns. You will learn to adapt the base underwear pattern the way you want and make your underwear extra pretty! You will leave the class with a perfectly fitted pattern, cut and fitted the way you want. Add touches of lace and make underwear for every special occasion! 

You will choose from wide selection of colours: one colour fabric, lace & elastic, which will make approx. 2 pair of panties!

We also will have extra fabric, lace decorative elements and elastic for purchase for those who would like them.

What you will learn:

• Calculating fit for a knit (stretchy) garment
• Fitting the shape of your panty for your form
• Pattern transfers of seam lines and design details
• Adding seam allowances
• Adding Cut-outs and lace details without compromising fit
• Working with underwear seams
• Sewing with knits and on elastic
• Finishing & reinforcing techniques

• *Please note that this course is not suitable for beginners. You need to have made garments independently and have basic construction skills prior to attending the course. Also note that depending on your skill level, you might not be able to complete fitted panties during the class. However, you will leave with a fitted pattern and should be ready to use your skills at home.

What to bring:
Pencil, Rotary Cutter, Sewing Machine (see below) French Curve (if you have) 12-18” clear ruler (if you have)

Once you have registered you will choose the 3 parts of your kit (material, elastic & lace) from our large selection of materials on the day of the class.  

You may bring your own materials you may want to use but there is no discount for this, and we will have you use our materials if yours are not appropriate.

We also will have additional fabrics and elastic packs available for purchase at wholesale prices. We reserve the right to limit quantities per person.

• 6-hour Session with lunch break.  We do have microwave, stove, toaster, tea and coffee but please bring your own lunch.
• $209 including materials & tax. No hidden costs!!

*If you bring your own machine, it must have a zig zag stitch.

*The class will start promptly at the scheduled time. Please arrive 5 minutes early (or 15 minutes early if you are setting up your own machine)

*We have a limited number of machines available if you don’t have your own. If you need to book a machine, please let us know when you register. 

The fabrics we provide are premium quality, naturals, wicking, organics and, bamboos to choose from. You will match your trims in the class. Many colours are available!
