Are you a new sewer ready for something fun ?? -
Are you still looking to gain confidence but eager to learn new skills at the same time? See how easy it will be to sew using a sewing machine, with some support while learning some basic designing skills to make your very own tote bag the size you want it! Learn some beginner drafting skills and make a pattern using paper bags as a template! Would you like to learn to make beautiful lined cloth bags that can be used over and over again using super simple methods?
Then this class is for you!
This 2 part 6 hours workshop will teach you all you need to know about using and making the most of a sewing machine, and you will design and make a handy bag using your new skills.
Just bring yourself and be prepared to have a lovely time!
What you will learn:
- Learn to choose the right materials for the project
- Refresher/Support - Machine Use if needed
- How to sew perfectly straight seams and how to finish them
- How to make a template and add seam allowances
- how to make a paper bag style lined bag with handles
- how to change the width and height of the bag

- *The class will start promptly at the scheduled time. Please arrive 15 minutes early if you are setting up your own machine
*We have a limited number of machines available if you don’t have your own and you need to book a machine, please let us know when you register as we have a limited supply it is 1st come 1st serve.
